I do hope that in a few years time LG looks at the mobile phone market again. Maybe going down the google pixel route of just releasing a few handsets a year. LG has always been good at innovating in the mobile phone market with a lot of firsts. With record breaking profits like this we can only hope.

I have LG TV, LG microwave & LG refrigerator at home. In India, lg's rank in consumer electronics is second only to Sony, their all big appliances tend to last long (10 years + life span) without any issues.. Would love it if they just price their new range of tvs competitively (price it same like in USA)

Made better profits by turning off the furnace that had been burning all their money in the phone department - It's the only reason I can see for just how big the losses were in there.

Mobiles might shift to wearables and AR stuff soon enough (in next 10years or so). My mobile space prediction: 1) for a time being, current manufacturers will satisfy most people, no groundbreaking ideas, no revolutions, 2) the next thing for sure will be foldables for the masses, 3) then some new battery tech will lead to powerful wearables, 4) then maybe eye retina (or contact lens) displays, 5) then Neuralink. End of an era. Then AI - end of humankind :D just kidding :D or am I? :D

I also expect it. Local households is being dominated by LG stuffs, from Aircons to Washing Machines.
Also with the growth in Console sales, I kinda Expect LG & Sony TV sales to grow as well.
3301713Similar to Sony, but Sony decided to suport mobile and make it pocketable mirrorless, audio player etc. LG mobile future is a mystery.
